communist party opens comment board for top leaders

Reported in Madrid. Today, the most astonishing news in China, other than the continuous dispute on the territories, could be the opening of a remarks website where you can leave message to all communist top leaders. This website is an affiliate of Renmin.com, and soon climbed up to frontpage of mainstream newspapers such as Phoenix daily.

Making online chat with ordinary Chinese and listen to their comments have been an innovative step for Hu's government and council. Since 2006, there has been three online chats and each time the website was almost cracked out by enthusiastic Chinese people and the lucky guys whose questions were answered were quickly up to the attention.

The lastest one was in Feb 2010, premier Wen Jiabao talked with netizens about healthcare, earthquake reconstruction, housing problems and other hot topics. However, this seems not to satisfy the appetite of info-hungering Chinese netizens. Most of them need a opener channel to make their remarks, better daily and easy-to-use way.

This is the pretext to give birth the new website, where you can easily find almost most central thinktank and leaders, and click to leave a message. It is reported that in the first days, there was over 8,000 visits.

Other hot topics are widely discussed on this website, among which there are the issued mostly concerned by ordinary people. Just like whitehouse.gov, maybe the next step the Hu could keep up with Obama on e-politics, could be a newsletter to all the critics who are concerned with Chinese politics.
